Candida and Adrenal Spikes

 I’ve been dealing with this adrenal spike for a full month now and it’s clear that it will not die down anytime soon.  I’ve found that candida treatments such as Glutamine, Probiotics and Apple Cider Vinegar make things worse.  As soon as I take one of the above treatments, I get an immediate negative reaction.  I THOUGHT THE AUTOIMMUNE SUPPLEMENT WOULD STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING!!

The autoimmune pill does nothing for these reactions.  That tells me that it’s not an autoimmune reaction.  It is an adrenal spike.  The only thing that helps is extra Thym-Adren (adrenal suppressants).  A few weeks ago, I actually felt better after taking caffeine, which is one of the worst things to do for an adrenal spike.  I was baffled.   In Idaho, it made no real difference one way or the other.  After I got back, it’s had a negative effect, which is what should happen. 

I have 3 options:

1)     Take mega mega doses of Thym-Adren and hope that it finally calms my system.  That may be necessary no matter what else I do.

2)     Take a break from training.  It’s crossed my mind that running is causing further stimulation and thus is making things worse.  If things don’t improve by the end of the week even on mega mega doses, I don’t see any other choice.  This may be the end of the line. 

3)     Call up the Rheumatologist repeatedly until I get an appointment.

 

The answer may be a combination of all 3. 

The other question is how will I react to the candida treatments after the spike goes down?  Hopefully, I can take it or not take it with little effect over a few days.  What scares me is the possibility that it triggers another adrenal spike and I have to go through this again and again.  I don’t think the candida has been fully eliminated.  I still have the rashes and the itch.   

Today's morning session did not go well:

I did not even try to run on no pills.  1 lap at Montreat would have been over 4:00.

4 pills- 3:45 (11:15 pace)

8 pills- 3:17 (9:51 pace)

12 pills- 3:04 (9:12 pace)

Pills were less effective at higher doses and I still cannot tolerate any Candida treatment.  I'm afraid that I've reached the end of the line.
