Summer Road Trips

It was an interesting summer when it came to travel.  Not including the epic road trip, I captured some pretty nice images mostly within a few hours of home.  Let's start there.
Birmingham
Travel about 2.5 hours northeast on I-59 and you're in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Here's the view from Lookout Mountain.

Chattanooga

Travel 3 hours north on I-65 and you'll get to Music City

Nashville

A bit further away and too far for a day trip but here's a view of Cincinnati from across the river in northern Kentucky.  The culture shifts dramatically once you cross the river into Cincy.

Another 4-5 hours away is Pittsburgh, which offers stunning views of downtown and its 3 rivers from nearby Mt. Washington.

West Virginia hills

Back closer to home, there is the Grand Canyon of Georgia just outside of Columbus.

I also took 2 days in Santa Rosa Beach, FLA just outside of Destin.

Finally, the closest one to home is Noccalula Falls just about an hour away in Gadsden.
